Planivaar

 

Planivaar is the name given to the musical experiments of visual artist Mark Lippett. Blending guitar, keyboards, effects, samples and tape recordings of everyday family life that Mark has recorded since childhood, the music of Planivaar is simultaneously playful, unnerving, atmospheric and engaging.

Originally recording music for free download, Mark released the debut Planivaar CD album “The Yellow Square” on Split Femur in early 2007. An EP entitled “The Green Boat” followed on Make Mine Music later the same year, drawing favourable comparisons with Mūm and Colleen.
